New electronic clinical quality measures reporting program for SIM practices

October 18th, 2018 | Published Under Practice Transformation by Jennifer Mensch

SIM practices (all cohorts) can now apply for a new electronic clinical quality measures reporting program to automate this process and save time.

The State Innovation Model (SIM) wants to invest in practices that are interested in learning how to submit electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) for use within Medicaid, Medicare or any other payer’s advance payment model. SIM practices can apply to join a free program and have measures automatically reported.

CORHIO is the primary contractor with the State Innovation Model to work with practices and deploy a tool that extracts clinical quality measures automatically from electronic health record systems – then reports them directly to the Shared Practice Learning and Improvement Tool (SPLIT) tool for SIM measures and in the future, to other payers and quality entities. To participate in this free program, qualified practices will sign an agreement with CORHIO to contribute data to the Health Information Exchange. CORHIO will perform all of the reporting for the practice once data is validated and flowing from their EHR into the HIE.

Reportable eCQM measures will include:

  • Screening for Depression and Follow-Up Plan
  • Controlling High Blood Pressure
  • Diabetes A1C
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Maternal Depression
  • Adolescent Obesity
  • Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
  • Tobacco Developmental Screen
  • Asthma

Why select CORHIO to perform this work for you?

In addition:

  • Funding to cover any EHR vendor costs you might incur is available to qualified practices (up to $5,000)
  • Improve your data collection and reporting workflow with the help of expert consultants from CORHIO’s Transformation Support Services team, who also work as practice coaches in the SIM program
