10:45 – 11:30 Mergers/Acquisitions - MPI Integrity and Error Reconciliation Strategies
In today's healthcare environment, there continues to be a ground swell of mergers, acquisitions and affiliation arrangements. Along with an inordinate amount of operational considerations that emerge, there is also the important issue of combining master patient index (MPI) data into a single source system. Careful planning and extensive testing and validation will ensure post-conversion data quality issues, patient safety concerns and operational inefficiencies are avoided or are at least kept to a minimum. Come hear about considerations and best-practice strategies that will go a long way in minimizing MPI quality degradation.
