This session (#158) to be held in Lando 4306 (room), will demonstrate how health information exchange (HIE) and emergency medical services (EMS) professionals worked together to overcome technology, policy and workflow barriers in order to effectively use HIE in emergency settings. Additionally, attendees will learn about the cost savings resulting from new models of emergency care delivery and HIE utilization that benefit payers, ACOs, EMS, local fire departments and patients.
