New Children’s Hospital Colorado in Highlands Ranch Now Connected to CORHIO

Providers participating in the CORHIO network are now accessing clinical data from the new Children’s Hospital Colorado location in Highlands Ranch.

Children’s Hospital Colorado opened their newest location a few weeks ago and clinical information from the facility is already transmitting through the CORHIO health information (HIE) network. The new South Campus is located in Highlands Ranch, near the intersection of C-470 and Lucent Boulevard. Children’s Hospital Colorado is a long-time participant in the CORHIO network, with the main hospital and all its ambulatory clinics having previously connected in 2012.

The South Campus location offers a wide range of pediatric care including Urgent, Emergency, Outpatient Specialty, Inpatient and Surgery Care along with imaging services (including MRI, CT, ultrasound and fluoroscopy) and diagnostic services (including ECHO, EKG, EEG, audiology and sleep studies). Existing Children's Hospital Colorado locations operating in Centennial and Littleton are in the process of consolidating to the South Campus. More than 25 specialty clinics are now housed on the South Campus 180,000-square-foot facility, or soon will be.

Children’s Hospital Colorado and its network of outpatient clinics provide treatment to more kids than any other health care organization in our seven-state region. The hospital anticipates serving more than 50,000 patients a year at the new South Campus facility. With its connection to the CORHIO HIE, Children’s Hospital Colorado enables pediatricians and other primary care physicians to automatically receive up-to-date test results, radiology reports and other important clinical information on their patients directly into their electronic health record (EHR) or through CORHIO’s Web-based portal called PatientCare 360®.
