CORHIO Announces New Chief Financial Officer

Peggy Micklich, CPA, former Chief Financial Officer at Sunrise Community Health, has joined CORHIO’s executive team.
CORHIO is pleased to welcome a new Chief Financial Officer, Peggy Micklich, who joined the staff on December 7th. Micklich recently held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Sunrise Community Health. In addition, she was Vice President of Finance at Peak Vista Community Health Centers and Chief Financial Officer at Plains Medical Center. Micklich is also a former member of the Colorado Community Health Network and the Colorado Community Managed Care Network – where she served on the Finance Committee.
She brings a great deal of healthcare nonprofit financial experience to the position and a positive outlook on the direction healthcare is taking.
“I have had the pleasure of working most of my career in healthcare and I have a lot of experience in the FQHC space,” says Micklich. “I’ve always been attracted to nonprofit healthcare organizations because I enjoy playing my part in making a difference in patient care.”

A Passion for Healthcare Transformation
Micklich has seen how health information exchange and other technologies can improve patient care and organizational efficiency, particularly during her time at Plains Medical Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Eastern Colorado.
“CORHIO reaches across the continuum of care where it can help all patients – wherever there’s someone accessing healthcare, their providers need access to their records,” she says. “And we all need to improve the overall costs of healthcare. CORHIO and health information exchange are what I see as the next logical step.”
